R&M Resource Development has been chosen by the City of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to help strengthen its economic development corporation and test the feasibility of developing a true public/private partnership for E.D. in this community of 15,000+. Historic Sault Ste. Marie is located on the eastern tip of Michigan's upper peninsula, directly across the St. Mary's River from Sault, Ontario. R&M principals Mike McCarthy and Susan Blansett will conduct focus groups in the community to articulate a long-term vision and priorities, after which they will develop a five-year E.D. plan to test with community leaders for financial support. Late in October they will deliver their recommendations to the City Commission.
